Eternal Dungeon is a game prototype I made in school. The task was to take a retro game and reproduce it in Gamemaker, while adding a new concept.
I chose The Legend of Zelda and turned it into some kind of Survival/Action mashup. Basically, you go from room to room and kill enemies until you die. Theoretically for ever, hence the name. I finally got to use the paper cut-out style again!
Controls: Arrow Keys: Move Link Y: Use Item (if you have one) X: Use Sword (Note, this was made for a QWERTZ keyboard, where Y is in place of Z in the QWERTY keyboard, tell me if you have any difficulties playing it)
So, yeah... download it, try it out and tell me what you think. Oh, and don't forget, it's a beta version, so there are some bugs...
I have no idea what causes this error... Did you try it on a different computer or something? I'm not working on this game anymore, so I probably won't be able to fix it.
I tried it on two different computers but no luck. What I really want is to see the game art close up. Do you have any medium to high resolution stills online? I absolutely love the style.
Well, the offer was that someone could use my sprites for a game and that I might do some more if needed and if I like the project. I don't really have the time to do the art for an entirely different game.
