New Paper Mario Group for 3DS by Nelde New Paper Mario Group for 3DS by Nelde
Instructions:
Click download and put the two files in the rar-file into the picture folder of your 3DS' SD-card. You'll have to rename them depending on how many pictures you already have.

I converted my wiggle picture into a file that you can load onto your Nintendo 3DS and look at it in magical 3D! ;)

Because it's simply a conversion, the 3D effect isn't really eye popping, but it works. And since this is rather a test for more pics to come, I'm rather satisfied with it.
Now, as soon as I find out how to run my emulator in 3D, I'll upload some 3D gameplay pics. I tried IZ3D, but it didn't work... :( If anyone knows how to do it, help plz.

Please tell me if it works and let me know if you've got any problems.

Also have a look at other pics like this from my New Paper Mario gallery

I made two pictures with photoshop, one for the left and one for the right eye.
And then I put them together and loaded it on my 3DS :D

How do you make a picture you can see on the 3ds, that can also be in 3D?

You have to to 2 pictures, one for each eye.
Then you convert them into one with a program called stereoscopic 3d maker. (or something like that).

It's for the 3DS, as long as you have an SD card reader, it should work. :)

Yes, an N64 emulator.

I didn't know that N64 emulators can display 3D, other than what they were made to display. Don't you need a computerscreen with 3D capabilities in order to do that?

The problem is, that the N64 emulators can't do that. You need a special graphics card (driver) to do it.

Works great, though the only problem I can see is Koops's lineart seems to go behind the leftmost castle wall next to him. Other than that, it looks really nice!

Yeah, I moved him in the wrong direction, so visually, he is now behind the castle... It wasn't that noticeable when it was just a wiggle pic. :D

Could you... Explain it in more detail?
Reply
:iconnelde:
Nelde Featured By Owner Jun 23, 2011  Professional General Artist
Sure.
First, you click the download button next to the picture. Then you extract the two files from the rar package to your computer.
Afterwards, you take the SD card that came with your 3DS and put it into your computer (you'll need a card reader for that). Then you open the picture folder on your SD card (it's very easy to find) and put the two files that you downloaded into that folder where the other pictures are that you made with the 3DS' camera. You'll have to rename them. For example, if you already have 6 photos, you'll have to replace the "X" in the file name with a "7".
Then you put the SD card back into your 3DS and load up the photo channel where you should be able to see my picture in 3D.
Any questions?

Only one, I didn't understand the "rename" part very well. (I do know how to rename stuff, I just didn't understand that part of the process)

Well, the files are called HNI_000X. You have to add the number that follows your highest numbered picture. For example if you have a picture named HNI_0006.JPG you have to name my file HNI_0007.JPG
If you have one named HNI_0028.JPG you have to name my file HNI_0029.JPG
Clear now? :D
