Ein anakreontisches GedichtEin anakreontisches Gedicht

Frühling wars, die Blumen blühten
des jungen Schäfers Wangen glühten
als er vernahm ach wundersamen Klang,
der zu ihm aus dem Walde drang.

Verzückt vom lockenden Gesang
schlich er sich an das Wäldchen ran.
Er folgte einem Bächlein ins satte Grün
sah nicht weit vor sich ein sanftes Glühn.

Was mochte es wohl sein?
Junge Nymphen beim Bade? Fein.
Oder eine Götting gar,
begleitet von ihrer Dienerschar?

Bei dem Gedanken hellten seine Augen auf
nun rannte er fast und hatte kaum Schnauf.
Kurz vor der Lichtung blieb er stehen,
schob die Äste zurück,
